Three Things People Wish They Had Known
Do not play eighteen holes first. A tired player produces a pattern that widens through the session, and a spec fitted to that pattern is fitted to fatigue. Come in fresh, even if that means an awkward hour.
Do not clean the clubs. The wear on a face, the shine on a grip and the marks on a sole are all evidence. Every one of them is easier to read before somebody takes a brush to it.
Do not leave the disliked clubs at home. The 4-iron you have not hit since 2022 frequently explains the hole in the top of your bag better than the clubs you brought proudly.
