Nothing on the frontage road announces us except a number stencilled on a door. Come round the side of the building and you will hear the bench before you see it.
Getting Here
Five Ways In, Depending on Which Side of Town You Start
The building sits in a run of light-industrial bays on the east side of the interstate, which is an area most people have driven past several hundred times without registering. These are the approaches our clients actually describe.
- Northbound on I-25
- Leave the interstate at Osuna and stay on the east frontage road rather than turning under the bridge. The lot is three quarters of a mile along on the right, immediately past the pipe yard, and the entrance is the second cut in the kerb, not the first.
- Southbound from Bernalillo or Santa Fe
- Come off at Osuna as well, then loop east under the overpass and pick up the same frontage road. Allow forty minutes from the Santa Fe plaza on a weekday morning and closer to an hour if you leave after four.
- Rio Rancho and Corrales
- Paseo del Norte across the river, south on Jefferson, then east at the light. Roughly twenty-five minutes from the Rio Rancho side of the bridge outside the school run, and the only slow part is the bridge itself.
- The Heights, Nob Hill and the university
- San Mateo north the whole way and turn west at Osuna. It is longer on the map than the interstate and usually quicker at the times players actually come in, which is late afternoon.
- The South Valley and Los Lunas
- I-25 north through the interchange and off at Osuna. Fifty minutes from Los Lunas on a good run. If you are making that drive, book the first slot of the day so the strip is still cool when you hit.
The landmark that works: the pipe yard. If you can see stacked steel behind a chain-link fence on your right, the next driveway is ours. If you have reached the traffic signal you have gone about two hundred yards too far and there is a place to turn around at the tyre shop.
Parking, and Why the Back Lot Is Better
There are six marked spaces at the front and eleven behind, all free and none of them timed. Use the back if you are carrying a full bag, because the rear door opens straight into bay one and the front door does not. It also puts you next to the grass strip, which is where a good part of your session will happen anyway.
The whole floor is level from the rear lot inwards, with no steps and no lip at the threshold. Both bays are wide enough to work in from a seated position, and the roll surface for putter fitting can be brought down to the floor rather than kept on the raised platform. Tell us when you book and it will be set up before you arrive.
Walk In or Book Ahead
Bench work takes walk-ins from Tuesday to Friday. Regrips, a loft and lie check, a ferrule that has cracked, a grip that has gone shiny on one side: bring it in during those hours and it usually gets handled while you wait.
Fittings do not work that way. Both bays are normally committed and there is no way to squeeze a proper session between two others without shortening one of them. Use the request form or call, and you will be given real times rather than a form acknowledgement.

Four Things Worth Knowing About the Drive
Monday Is Dark
The bays are shut for builds. You can drop clubs off through the side door and there will be somebody at the bench, but nobody is fitting.
Long Drives Get Longer Slots
If you are coming from Gallup, Farmington or Las Cruces, say so. We stretch the session and put a break in the middle rather than rushing a tired player.
Strip Condition
After heavy rain the grass is unusable for a day or two. We will call and offer to move you rather than quietly fitting you indoors.
Who Drives In
Where People Come From
Most of the work is Albuquerque itself: the North Valley, Los Ranchos, Tanoan, Sandia Heights and the Four Hills side. Rio Rancho and Corrales together make up a large enough share that half our Saturday mornings are booked from across the river.
Beyond that, a steady stream comes down from Santa Fe and Bernalillo, and a smaller one up from Belen and Los Lunas. Two or three times a month somebody drives in from Farmington or Ruidoso for a whole-bag ledger, which is the appointment we deliberately split across a long day.
Everyone gets fitted against the same corrected numbers, but where you play matters to the recommendation. A player whose home course is on the mesa hardpan and a player who is mostly on soft river-bottom turf will leave with different sole shapes from an identical set of swings.

Email Gets a Real Answer
The bench address reaches all four of us and gets read the same day from Tuesday to Saturday. Describe the club and the complaint in two or three sentences and you will usually get a useful reply before you have booked anything at all.
Plenty of those exchanges end with us telling somebody that what they are describing is a grip size problem worth eighteen dollars rather than a fitting worth a hundred and eighty-five. That is a perfectly good outcome and it is why the address is published.
